Changing Regs and Expectations: Get Prepared for the Intersection of ESG and L&E - ESG 2023

With the increasing attention to ESG by Boards, investors, and governmental regulators, ESG goals are now at an intersection with labor and employment law. In this session, we covered what employers need to know about ESG: including, increasing state and federal regulatory reporting laws on human capital, international bellweather laws on mandatory human rights due diligence, trailblazing DEI initiatives, investor expectations for governance of ESG, and rising anti-ESG activist shareholder class actions. PAGA: Past, Present, and Future (and What Employers Can Do Now)

An update on legislative initiatives regarding PAGA (and PAGA-like statutes under consideration outside of California) as well as a judicial update concerning recent PAGA decisions.
