Overview
Emily Firmston is an associate in the London office of Paul Hastings. She focuses her practice on structured finance and securitisation, and advises a range of financial institutions and private equity sponsors on a broad variety of transactions across different asset classes including performing and non-performing portfolio financings, Consumer ABS, multi-jurisdictional trade receivables financings, and esoteric asset classes.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mrs. Firmston worked in the structured finance practice of another leading US firm in their London office and completed a 5-month secondment to their New York office.
She has also completed a one-year secondment to the Structured Finance Legal team at Deutsche Bank.

- Barclays on private ABS transactions, including the financing of UK SME Loans
- TPG Angelo Gordon on the asset-backed financing of UK SME loans
- Public and private securitisations including RMBS, credit card securitisations, point of sale receivables, and CLOs; acting as both originator/borrower and arranger/lender counsel
- The first term rated securitisation of diamond inventory and related consight sales proceeds
