Overview
Valerie Eliasen is an associate in the Financial Restructuring group at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Chicago office. Valerie's practice focuses on financial restructuring and other insolvency related matters.
Valerie represents secured and unsecured creditors, bondholders, companies and other parties in interest, both in-court and out-of-court, in a wide array of complex restructurings, including out-of-court workouts and liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession financings and cross-border insolvency proceedings.
Education
Valerie received her law degree, with honors, from the University of Minnesota Law School. She earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics, summa cum laude, from Michigan Technological University. Prior to her legal career, Valerie worked at TCF Bank as a Business Intelligence Analyst.
