Deputy Chief Employment Counsel

Overview

Meredith Snyder serves as the Deputy Chief Employment Counsel for Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Snyder previously worked for Paul Hastings as an associate in the Employment Law Department, where she represented employers in all aspects of employment litigation and counseling, including class and collective action suits, as well as the investigation and litigation of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims. 

Since that time, Ms. Snyder has led the employment law and litigation functions in a number of in-house leadership roles. Most recently, prior to rejoining Paul Hastings, Meredith served as the Vice President of Litigation & Employment Law at a public technology company. There, she built and led the global Litigation & Employment Law team, and she oversaw all matters pertaining to employment law and litigation for the company.

Ms. Snyder is admitted to the bars of California and Washington, D.C.

Education

Ms. Snyder received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2007. While in law school, she served as a Senior Editor of the Washington University Law Review, and was named an Honors Scholar. She received an A.B. in English Literature, with college honors, from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004.
