Overview

Rob Laurenzi is of counsel in the Intellectual Property practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. His practice focuses on patent litigation involving computer, internet and telecommunications technologies. In addition to litigation and courtroom experience, Mr. Laurenzi worked in-house at Verizon negotiating and drafting software licenses, as well as technology and media-related agreements. Mr. Laurenzi is a registered patent lawyer licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office and has been lead counsel on multiple IPRs and CBMs. His patent prosecution background ranges from management of large patent portfolios and prosecution of many patent applications to issuance in a variety of technologies.

Mr. Laurenzi has substantial experience counseling clients on due diligence and merger and acquisition matters involving intellectual property.

Mr. Laurenzi holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, which included early research in neural network and artificial intelligence applications to signal processing problems, and also worked as a telecommunications engineer prior to practicing law.
