Madison Dipman

Associate, Litigation Department

Overview

Madison Dipman is an associate in the Environmental Litigation practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Century City office. Her practice focuses primarily on environmental litigation, regulatory, compliance and legislative matters. She has experience practicing under a range of environmental statutes, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Price-Anderson Act (PAA).

 

Madison attended the UCLA School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif and received the Environmental Law Specialization. While in law school, she participated in two environmental law clinics and served as executive editor of the Journal of Environmental Law & Policy. She was also the legal research assistant for Dean Jennifer Mnookin and Professor Ted Parson on topics of medical and climate science technologies.

Prior to law school, Madison studied community ecology and received a master's degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She has published manuscripts in scientific journals.

  • Represented a corporation in Price-Anderson Act litigation concerning operation of its nuclear fuel cycle facility.
  • Advised a biofuel company on compliance with renewable fuel regulations.
  • Represented a shipping vessel and its insurer in litigation concerning an offshore oil spill.
