Overview

James Murray is an associate in the Employment practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.

Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Murray served as the Vice Mayor of Ashland, Virginia, where he gained valuable, first-hand experience with organizational leadership, public relations, crisis planning and communications, and political lobbying.

Mr. Murray earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2020, where he served as the Year-In-Review Editor of the Alaska Law Review, Submissions Editor for the American Journal of International Law, and Executive Board Member for the Moot Court Board. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and English from Randolph-Macon College in 2009. Mr. Murray is admitted to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
