Overview

Chetan Bansal is Of Counsel in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Bansal’s practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including patent office proceedings, district court litigation, and appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Bansal has represented petitioners and patent owners in hundreds of post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and has substantial experience preparing written submissions; taking and defending expert depositions; and first- and second-chairing oral arguments.

Mr. Bansal has handled matters involving a wide range of technical areas, including computer networks and telecommunications.

  • Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. v. UUSI, LLC (PTAB). Represented Samsung in IPR and Federal Circuit appeals. 
  • Exactech, Inc. v. Zimmer Biomet et al.. Represented Zimmer Biomet in litigation involving medical devices.
  • EIS Inc. v. Novoluto GmBH.  Representing EIS in patent litigation involving adult wellness products.
