Privacy Roundtable Breakfast

The Paul Hastings Privacy and Data Security Practice presents a Roundtable Breakfast addressing some of the most current privacy and data security issues and introducing the newest members of our practice, Paul Schwartz and Sherrese Smith.

Paul is a professor at UC Berkeley School of Law, director of the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology, co-author of the leading treatise Information Privacy Law and co-reporter for the American Law Institute’s Restatement of Information Privacy Law Principles. He is based in our San Francisco office.

Sherrese most recently served as chief counsel to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and previously was general counsel for Washington Post Digital. She resides in Washington.

Practice leaders Tom Brown and Behnam Dayanim will be joining Paul and Sherrese for the discussion.

Topics will include cloud computing and emerging payments, upcoming reform in European data protection rules and implications for the United States, and social media privacy issues. We also will include ample time for questions and discussions concerning any privacy or security topic attendees may wish to raise.
