Overview
Mehran Massih heads our environmental transaction support practice globally. He is a qualified US and English lawyer with an extensive footprint in the United States and Europe, advising for more than 25 years on environmental, social and climate change matters that arise in the context of corporate acquisitions, divestitures and financings. His work ranges from advice on M&A transactions and securities offerings to emerging developments in the carbon markets to Equator Principles considerations in project finance. He also advises clients regularly on emerging ESG corporate disclosure requirements, whether as Securities and Exchange Commission rules in the United States or within the European Union framework.

- H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with $60 billion of capital under management, in its acquisition of Segers Aero Corporation
- A subsidiary of Spearmint Energy, a next-generation renewable energy company enabling the clean energy revolution through battery energy storage, in connection with a $47.5 debt financing to support Spearmint’s recently-completed Revolution Project – a 150 MW, 300 MWh battery energy storage facility in West Texas
- H.I.G. Capital in its acquisition of Penhall Company, North America’s largest provider of concrete services
