Marisa Sherman is an associate in the Employment Law Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Marisa represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, disability accommodation, employee mobility and wage-and-hour issues. Marisa has defended employers against multiplaintiff and single-plaintiff lawsuits in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings. She has also tried whistleblower retaliation cases to verdict. Marisa has experience advising a wide variety of employers, including major law firms, technology companies, public utilities, talent agencies, manufacturers, consumer brands and video game developers.

Marisa earned her law degree from UCLA School of Law, where she served as co-chair of the El Centro Legal Clinic and a production editor of the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree (with distinction) from University of Iowa in both Communication Studies and Ethics/Public Policy. Marisa is admitted to practice law in California.
