Paul Hastings Launches Technology Transactions Platform With Addition of Market-Leading Partner in AI and Disruptive Technologies

NEW YORK – Paul Hastings LLP today announced that Chambers-ranked technology lawyer Amir Ghavi has joined the firm as a partner in New York to launch a destination global Technology Transactions practice.

Ghavi is a leading authority at the forefront of technology and intellectual property, with a profound understanding of AI and other disruptive technologies. He advises broadly across the technology ecosystem, including representing leading AI foundation model developers and corporations adopting AI on product development and counseling, data procurement, AI governance and strategy, regulatory and government affairs, IP and M&A matters. Significantly, his work has included representing AI model developers as defendants in multiple AI litigations that raise issues of first impression around copyright related to AI technology. He joins from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where he served as the co-head of the same practice.

His technology-focused clients include G42, Microsoft, Bloomberg, Snowflake, T-Mobile, Mistral AI, Cohere, Liquid AI, Palantir and Infosys.
