Paul Hastings London Chair Wins M&A Advisor 2011 40 Under 40 Award

London - Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that its London Chair and vice chairman of the global Corporate Department Ronan OSullivan has been named a winner of the M&A Advisor 2011 40 Under 40 Award. This Award recognizes up-and-coming leaders under the age of 40 who have been handling major M&A, financing and turnaround transactions behind the scenes.

Mr OSullivan has been named a winner for his impressive career achievements in overseeing the successful establishment and growth of the Paul Hastings London Corporate Finance practice and now, driving the firms global strategy to grow its London office. These achievements include leading a global team to represent Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc, a multinational engineering consultancy and Fortune 500 company, on the complex multi-faceted, cross-border US$913 million acquisition of the process and construction business of Oslo listed Aker Solutions ASA; and advising Jacobs Engineering in relation to its acquisition of Sula Systems Limited, a UK systems-based engineering and consultancy firm with approximately 70 employees.

The awards ceremony was held on July 26th at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, the venue of the first-ever Academy Awards ceremony. The 40 Under 40 Award winners were chosen for their accomplishments and expertise from a pool of international nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders.

Mr OSullivan joined the Paul Hastings London office in September 2005 and was made a partner in 2006. He graduated with an LL.B. from Trinity College in Dublin in 1994 and with a B.C.L., with first class honours, from St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University in 1995. He is a member of the City of London Solicitor's Company. He focuses his practice on capital markets and corporate finance, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings.
