Paul Hastings Continues to Expand Intellectual Property Practice with Respected Technology Partner

Atlanta, GA (September 7, 2011)- Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that Robin McGrath has joined the Intellectual Property practice in Atlanta as partner. Ms. McGrath, previously with Alston+Bird LLP, is a respected IP trial lawyer with far-reaching experience handling complex patent litigation for a variety of technologies, which includes payment processing. Her arrival follows the addition of Steven Park, who joined the IP practice as partner in Atlanta in August.

Robins arrival represents another critical enhancement as we continue to expand our IP practice, said William Sullivan, chair of the Litigation practice. Her background in technology together with the recent addition of Steven Park and our established capabilities, will allow us to help clients tackle their most complex legal challenges across a wider array of technologies and services, he added.

Robin is a skilled litigator with broad expertise in areas engendering a myriad of legal issues, said Jeff Randall, co-chair of the Intellectual Property practice. Ms. McGrath focuses her practice on patent litigation and counseling, centering on payment systems, business methods, software, telephone, Internet and networking systems. She has extensive courtroom experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in patent and trademark.

Ms. McGraths arrival follows the addition of Ky Tran-Trong, who joined as co-chair of the Payment Systems practice in Washington, DC in July.
