Paul Hastings Continues London Growth with New Finance Partner

June 13, 2016

London – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that James Taylor has joined the London office as a partner. Mr. Taylor joins from Allen & Overy LLP, where he was a counsel and worked in both the London and Frankfurt offices.

Mr. Taylor’s practice covers general corporate lending, and real estate, leveraged and acquisition finance throughout the EMEA region. He has significant origination, syndication and restructuring experience involving both public and private borrowers.  In particular, he has acted on a wide range of real estate finance products, including senior/mezz and A/B facilities, share and asset acquisitions and disposals (including non-performing loan portfolio acquisitions), refinancings and development financings.

Ronan O’Sullivan, chair of the London office, says: "We are delighted to welcome James to our growing finance practice in London. In particular, his experience in the real estate sector will deepen and broaden our offering to our borrower and lender clients across Europe."

Other recent lateral hires for Paul Hastings in London include restructuring and debt finance partner David Ereira, structured finance and capital markets partner Paul Severs and investment funds partner Duncan Woollard.

At Paul Hastings, our purpose is clear — to help our clients and people navigate new paths to growth. With a strong presence throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S., Paul Hastings is recognized as one of the world’s most innovative global law firms.
