September 25, 2015

London - At the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s TrustLaw Awards 2015, held in London on 24 September 2015, Paul Hastings LLP and Reporters Without Borders were presented with the Collaboration Award, for the Defence Handbook for Journalists and Bloggers. A team of 70 lawyers around the world from Paul Hastings created a 200 page handbook on freedom of expression for Reporters without Borders, covering the international and regional sources that journalists and bloggers can rely on to protect their freedom of expression.

The Collaboration Award showcases highly effective working relationships between pro bono providers and recipients that have dramatically increased the potential impact of projects as a result. More information about the project can be found here, and this video interviews some of the key participants, including Pierre Kirch, Tollie Besson, Simon Englebert, and Rhonda Mims.
