Paul Hastings Advises DCM Deutsche Capital Management AG on the acquisition and financing of containers from Dong Fang International Investment Limited

London, UK (04 February, 2009) Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that it has advised DCM Deutsche Capital Management AG, a leading German fund manager, on the acquisition of a number of shipping containers from Dong Fang International Investment Limited, a BVI company.

Paul Hastings worked on the deal, which involved securing over US$76 million of financing from DVB Bank America N.V. in order to assist with the transaction, and also the setting up of a Portuguese company. The equity in this company will be sold on to investors. Paul Hastings also assisted in the drafting of security documents and the placement guarantees.

London partner Keith Wilson led the Paul Hastings team, which included Bruce Ross in London and assisted by Brett King in the firm's Hong Kong office, where the deal was completed. Watson Farley Williams acted on behalf of the Lenders.

Speaking on the acquisition, Keith Wilson said: "We are proud to have worked on behalf of Deutsche Capital Management on this transaction. It is the second in as many months that we have advised them on and is yet another clear example of Paul Hastings' expertise in the sphere of cross-border transactions.

The firm last month advised DCM Deutsche Capital Management AG on the acquisition of four Boeing 777F aircraft. The transaction is valued at approximately US$680 million.
