Huayi Brothers International Acquire China Distribution Rights and Commit Funding for Moonfall

London -- Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented multinational entertainment company Huayi Brothers International Ltd. in their agreement to co-finance Roland Emmerich's sci-fi action epic, Moonfall. The agreement also grants Huayi Brothers all China distribution rights.
Moonfall, one of the most talked-about movies at Cannes last year, is set to go into production in the spring. The film follows a team that sets out to save Earth when the moon falls out of orbit and begins hurtling toward the planet. Roland Emmerich previously directed box office hits including 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day.
