The Volcker Rules Impact on Bridge Loans

This client alert represents the second installment in a series of client alerts that will explore various issues presented by the current interagency proposal to implement the Volcker Rule and the first installment in a series of alerts that will address specific leveraged finance issues stemming from the implementation of the Volcker Rule. Specifically, this client alert addresses the potential impact of the Volcker Rules restriction on proprietary trading on the making of non-investment grade bridge loans in the context of committed financings for acquisitions.
