Kamal Rettrey is an associate in the Investment Funds & Private Capital practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Kamal's practice focuses on structuring, forming and operating investment funds, including credit, co-investment vehicles, direct lending, hedge funds and fund-of-funds. He also assists clients on capital raising and limited partner negotiations.

Kamal received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2024. During law school, he was an adjunct instructor through Georgetown's Street Law Program. Before attending law school, Kamal worked as a teacher and later served as a school leader at a charter school in Chicago. Kamal is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
