Paul Hastings Advises on Korea Electric Power Corporation’s $11 Billion GMTN Program Update and Issuance of $700 Million Dual-Tranche Notes

Paul Hastings LLP acted as the sole international counsel to the joint lead managers in connection with Korea Electric Power Corporation’s (KEPCO’s) issuance of $300 million 4.750% senior unsecured notes due 2031 and $400 million floating rate senior unsecured notes due 2029 under its $11 billion global medium term note program (the Program). The transaction closed on July 21, 2026. The offering was conducted in reliance on Rule 144A and Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the notes were listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities plc, Merrill Lynch International, and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited acted as the joint lead managers.
Paul Hastings also assisted KEPCO and the dealers thereunder with the update of the Program, which was completed on June 30, 2026.
KEPCO is Korea’s largest electric utility company and a majority state-owned enterprise, responsible for the transmission and distribution of substantially all electricity in Korea. Through its six wholly owned generation subsidiaries, KEPCO also generates a substantial majority of the electricity produced in Korea. KEPCO is listed on both the Korea Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
